Firefox For Os X

It's been more than eight months since Mozilla increasing discussed plans to remove Mac OS X 10.5 support ([1] 2]) and now, it has finally happened.
For more information regarding the removal of Mac OS X 10.5 support look at the bugs below:

It's been almost six months since Window 2000 and older versions of Windows XP were dropped in Firefox 13 and now Mac OS X 10.5 (aka Leopard) is being de-supported for Firefox 17, starting with its Nightlies, released along with Firefox 14 on 17 July 2012.
10.5 EOL warnings will be given between the next two releases of Firefox (Firefox 15 on 8/28 and Firefox 16 on 10/9) and then a 'no longer supported' notification when Firefox 17 gets released on 20 November 2012. Firefox 16 for which it will be supported until that date will be the final release to support Mac OS X 10.5 and after that 10.5 users will most likely be almost out of options. As Opera will most likely drop 10.5 support before Firefox 10 ESR reaches EOL, switching to TenFourFox with Rosetta is the only viable option.
Furthermore, Mozilla does not even have plans to provide direct support for Extended Support Releases (ESR) to Mac OS X 10.5 users either as the ESR is only for mass-rollout by organisations, which then are on the hook for supporting their users, while Mozilla will only directly support the organisation admins.
Developers have made a final decision that supporting Mac OS X 10.5 would hurt development to provide another year's worth of support for that OS, because developers have to keep around testing infrastructure, Q&A processes for attempting to backport patches to the ESR. Additionally, Firefox 10 ESR will only be supported until 12 February 2013.
Additionally, the cost of keeping 10.5 supported for additional releases (beyond Firefox 16) is simply too high for the benefit received. Because 10.5 marketshare is continuing to shrink at a rapid pace, it will be quite low enough when Firefox 17 is released. Developers still strive to leave code in place for Firefox 17, but if it becomes even difficult to accomplish necessary work, developers may end up breaking things to advance their goals for supported Mac OS versions.
Along with the regular release of Firefox 17, its ESR counterpart will be released as well and will be supported until 3 December 2013 and two releases after Firefox 24 ESR.

Thoughts anyone?

Note: If you have Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard), you will need to download OS X El Capitan before you can upgrade to the latest Mac OS. While insecure versions of Firefox will continue to work on OS X 10.8 and earlier, using an up-to-date version of Firefox on a supported version of Mac OS will provide you with the best and safest.
